Welcome to Hide Something (“hdsmth”, “we”, “our”, or “the app”).
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app and how that information is handled.

Your private files and most app data are stored locally on your own device, including:
- Hidden photos and videos

- Browser bookmarks and browser-related local data
- App settings and preferences
- Passwords, patterns, and local security configurations
We do not upload your private vault data to our own servers.
We do not operate a cloud storage service for your hidden files.
2. Information That May Be Shared With Third Parties
Although the app itself is designed to keep your data on-device, some features rely on third-party services.
A. Google Services
The app uses services provided by Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics.
These services may collect limited technical or usage information, including:
- Device information
- App performance data
- Crash logs
- Advertising identifiers
- General usage analytics
These services are governed by Google’s own privacy policies:
3. Similar Image Search Feature
When you use the “Search Similar Images” feature, the image you choose for searching is uploaded to Yandex Images in order to perform the search.
This upload is necessary for the feature to work.
Please avoid using this feature with highly sensitive images if you do not want them transmitted to third-party image search services.
Yandex handles uploaded images according to its own privacy policy:
4. Built-in Browser
The app includes a private built-in browser.
When using the browser feature:
- Websites you visit may receive information according to normal web browsing behavior, such as your IP address, browser requests, cookies, or other network data.
- Downloads, bookmarks, and browsing-related local data are stored on your device unless otherwise required by the visited website.
- We do not proxy or relay your browsing traffic through our own servers.
Please review the privacy policies of the websites you visit.
5. Permissions
Depending on features you use, the app may request permissions such as:
- Storage / media access
- Notification permission

- Camera access (if applicable)
These permissions are used only to provide app functionality.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect local app data on your device. However:
- No device or software can guarantee absolute security.
- You are responsible for protecting access to your device and your unlock credentials.
7. Children’s Privacy
The app is not intended for children under 13 years old.
